FAMReports Opportunity Desk
Youth-led organizations across Africa and Europe now have a golden opportunity to bring their voices, initiatives, and impact to the forefront of continental collaboration. The Africa-Europe Foundation (AEF) has officially launched the Youth Awards 2025, calling for outstanding youth-led platforms and organizations that are driving meaningful change in their communities while strengthening Africa-Europe ties.
This opportunity is anchored within the Foundation’s flagship #RoadtoLuanda25 campaign, a powerful cross-continental mobilization ahead of the 7th AU-EU Summit scheduled for November 2025 in Angola. The campaign aims to showcase bold ideas and amplify diverse voices that are redefining the Africa-Europe relationship through grassroots and institutional engagement.
With a submission deadline of September 1, 2025, the awards will provide micro-grants, international recognition, and strategic capacity building for selected initiatives.
Purpose of the Youth Awards

Celebrate and reward youth-led initiatives that bring visibility to the positive contributions of young people in shaping the Africa-Europe partnership.
Highlight local and cross-continental initiatives that advance inclusive development, cooperation, and shared prosperity.
Elevate fresh perspectives and create space for policy impact from the youth across both continents.
As part of the broader #RoadtoLuanda25 campaign, the Youth Awards will be a springboard for emerging changemakers to showcase their solutions during a pivotal diplomatic moment that will define the next phase of AU-EU collaboration.
