A spirited call from a teenage entrepreneur in Uganda is capturing continental attention. Nyanzi Martin Luther, a 15-year-old media and technology innovator, has made a direct appeal to billionaire Aliko Dangote to support his mission of equipping Africa’s underprivileged youth with transformative digital skills.
Nyanzi, who has already founded Block FM 103.2 and the Apex Digital Skills Program, insists that Africa’s progress depends not on charity but on strategic investment in youth-led innovation.

“We don’t just need handouts. We need visionary support to train Africa’s digital builders — especially those left out by formal education,” Nyanzi declared in a recent media appearance.
Apex Digital Skills: A Lifeline for the Excluded
Under his media company, Apex Media Services, Nyanzi launched Apex Digital Skills, a program designed to provide practical training in areas such as web design, coding, video editing, online entrepreneurship, and content creation.
The program’s focus is on young people aged 10 to 25, particularly school dropouts and those from low-income families. By targeting this group, Apex is bridging a gap left by formal academic institutions.
So far, the initiative has trained over 1,500 learners in Uganda, with expansions already reaching Kenya, South Africa, and diaspora communities in the United Kingdom and Japan.
The impact has been profound, turning disconnected young people into empowered digital creators capable of earning an income and building sustainable ventures.

Although he has never met Africa’s richest man, Nyanzi draws inspiration from Dangote’s journey of building an empire rooted in solving practical problems. He sees a natural alignment between Dangote’s legacy and Apex Digital Skills’ mission.
“Dangote’s empire was built on solving real problems. That’s exactly what Apex is doing — solving youth unemployment through digital tools,” Nyanzi emphasized.
The appeal, according to him, is not merely for financial backing but also for mentorship, visibility, and guidance in scaling a model that could redefine education for the continent’s underserved youth.
To sustain and expand its reach, Apex Digital Skills is inviting support from philanthropists, corporate partners, and the general public. Contributions directly fund essential resources such as digital devices, training materials, internet access, and startup kits for young entrepreneurs.
Support can be channeled through:
MTN Uganda Merchant ID: 856990 (Block FM)
International Transfers: +256776411275
These contributions, Nyanzi stresses, directly translate into opportunities for young people who would otherwise remain excluded from the digital economy.
More Than One Teen’s Dream
Nyanzi’s journey reflects a wider generational shift. Beyond Apex, he has distinguished himself as the founder of radio stations and as the chairperson of the National Association of Online Broadcasters and Publishers (NAOBP). His determination demonstrates the rising influence of Africa’s youth in shaping the continent’s technological and educational landscape.
At just 15, his vision is not limited to Uganda but extends across Africa, underscoring a continental demand for practical alternatives to conventional education systems.
“Africa’s young people are not lazy. They just need tools, training, and a chance. That’s what Apex stands for,” Nyanzi affirmed.
By directly appealing to Dangote, Nyanzi has sent a symbolic yet powerful message: Africa’s future is not about dependence but about creating opportunities for its own young innovators. His work through Apex Digital Skills is a testament to how determination, when combined with the right support, can shift the narrative for millions of marginalized youth.
