The launch event, held at Canary Hotel in Bukoto, Kampala, was organized in partnership with Centenary Bank, setting the stage for what organizers describe as a transformative business and networking platform. The expo is scheduled to take place from April 23 to 25 at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

The initiative brings together Rotarians, Rotaractors, media professionals, and business stakeholders, all seeking to tap into Rotary’s expansive network to drive growth through unity, collaboration, and shared purpose.

A Platform Where Service Meets Enterprise

Speaking at the launch, Centenary Bank’s General Manager for Corporate Communications and Marketing, Beatrice Lugalambi, described the expo as a strategic convergence point for service, business, and partnerships.

She emphasized that the bank’s sponsorship reflects a broader commitment to fostering strong connections among individuals, institutions, and ideas.

“Beyond the Shs100 million contribution, the bank continues to invest in health, education, and community initiatives. This demonstrates that partnerships extend beyond financial support,” Lugalambi noted.

She added that the expo will place particular emphasis on youth and women, aligning with Centenary Bank’s mission of transforming lives. Participants can expect tailored financial literacy sessions, sales opportunities, and investment advisory services designed to empower businesses within the Rotary ecosystem.

Driving Growth Through Strategic Collaboration

Rotary District Governor 9214, Christine Kyeyune, underscored the significance of the expo as a launchpad for sustainable partnerships and long-term impact.

She called on stakeholders to actively engage and strengthen collaborations that drive economic and social progress.

“Rotary blends service with enterprise, creating a platform where businesses can connect, grow, and amplify value. We are placing strong emphasis on membership growth, partnerships, innovation, and continuity,” Kyeyune said.

Her remarks highlighted Rotary’s evolving role beyond community service into a facilitator of enterprise development and economic empowerment.

Building a Sustainable Business Ecosystem

Now in its second edition, the Rotary Means Business Expo continues to position itself as a vital platform for value creation among Rotarians and Rotaractors. The initiative goes beyond traditional networking by offering structured opportunities for business showcasing, promotion, and scaling.

Participants will benefit from an environment that encourages direct business transactions, client referrals within trusted networks, and increased market visibility. The expo also integrates capacity-building sessions and advisory services to enhance business competitiveness.

Organizers note that the platform is designed to reinforce a culture where Rotarians not only serve communities but also actively support each other’s enterprises, creating a sustainable ecosystem of mutual growth.

Expanding Opportunities Through Trusted Networks

The Rotary Means Business concept leverages the organization’s global reputation for trust and integrity to foster meaningful economic relationships. By encouraging members to collaborate commercially, the initiative strengthens both individual enterprises and the broader Rotary community.

As preparations for the April event gain momentum, expectations are high that the expo will attract diverse stakeholders and deliver tangible outcomes in terms of partnerships, investments, and enterprise development.

The Rotary Means Business Mega Expo ultimately reflects a growing recognition that service and business are not mutually exclusive but can be integrated to drive inclusive growth and lasting impact.
