The MEST Africa AI Startup Program 2026 is a 12 month immersive program is designed to develop Africa’s most promising AI entrepreneurs into world class startup founders. Through intensive training, hands-on mentorship, and startup incubation, participants are equipped to create globally competitive ventures using artificial intelligence.

About the Program
The MEST Africa AI Startup Program is delivered in two strategic phases:
Phase One: Training Period (7 Months)
Participants engage in an intensive full time training program covering AI fundamentals, software development, business strategy, product design, and leadership. It is designed to build both technical and entrepreneurial capacity.
Phase Two: Startup Incubation (4 Months)
Following the training phase, a select group of graduating participants will receive incubation support, including funding, mentorship, and office space to build and scale their startups.
This combination of technical coaching and venture building makes the program a rare launchpad for AI founders on the continent.

Who Is Eligible to Apply
To be considered for the 2026 MEST AI Startup Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be aged between 21 and 30 years at the time of application
Be a citizen of a West African country
Hold at least a bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent professional experience
Demonstrate software development skills (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
Show a basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts
Be deeply interested in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship
